GRAND FORKS — A school bus driver employed by Valley Bus, the company with which Grand Forks Public Schools contracts for transportation services, was suspended on Wednesday over accusations that he cursed at students. The driver, who has not been officially named, was on a route that serves Viking and Ben Franklin elementary schools. Both schools teach kindergarten through fifth grade students. Valley Bus takes the concerns raised by Viking and Ben Franklin families seriously, the company said in a letter to parents. We understand how upsetting it is to hear that your child felt unsafe on the ride home. The driver is suspended pending further review. We are reviewing available bus video to investigate. One parent, who said their child rides the suspended driver s bus, shared a video that appears to have been taken from inside the vehicle on Wednesday.
